The original editor started this site as a hobby back in 1996. After years of servitude to the Surfpage, he decided to "pass the torch" to another Oregon surfer in the fall of 2003, and collect some much deserved compensation by selling the site. Hopefully he took a nice surf trip to Fiji!

While the name, design and editor have changed, the intent of the site has not: to provide resources and a public forum to Oregon's surfing community.

One major change is that the old "Currents" page and the "alternative forum" have been combined into one convenient Message Board with a variety of forum topics. With immediate posts and threaded topics, this new board is much more user-friendly.

In an effort to recover some costs for maintaining the site, the Shops & More business directory is now a fee-based service. The new format provides visitors useful information about the shop or service and a hotlink to the shop's own Web site if they have one.

One thing that has NOT changed... the Classifieds are still FREE! But now ad posts happen immediately and you have password access to your ad to update or delete it. Categories have been set up to assist shoppers, and there is a search function. If you posted an ad to the old site, you'll have to post it again. (No commercial posts allowed. This is intended for private parties only.)

Enjoy the new content, send in photos, have fun in the forums, and tell someone you know about the site!
